Bedtime Bliss (The Kids Yoga Resource)

If you’ve got young children, you know the importance of a regular bedtime routine. In my opinion, tired kids aren’t capable of thinking clearly, so they benefit from knowing exactly what to expect as they prepare to drift off to sleep. No matter what your routine, you know what works in your household, and that’s the most important thing.
A recent article (written by yours truly) on The Kids Yoga Resource offers some tips on using some tried and true yoga techniques at bedtime, instead of relying on T.V. shows like “Pajanimals,” and “The Good Night Show.” But, we all do what works for our kids and our own sanity. At the end of the day, the most important thing is that children get the sleep they need, and parents have a chance to recharge and enjoy some time to themselves.
What works for your family? Does television or other forms of media play a role in your bedtime routine? How about breathing techniques or peaceful bedtime stories?

My bed time routine needs an overhaul! Too much to do and too little time. But I have a plan to go TV free for a while and I think it will help.
Thanks for the tips Amy.
